Kangana Ranaut Demands An Apology From Deepika Padukone After Her 'Chhapaak Look Challenge' Video Goes Viral
Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak might have hit the right chord with the critics but one of her promotional stunts has surely fired back and how. A video that has gone viral sees Deepika being asked by a Tik Tok user about 3 difficult looks that the user could recreate. Deepika starts with her Om Shanti Om look, then Piku and then Malti in Chhapaak. The Tik Tok user then goes on to dress up as all three and impersonate Deepika's on-screen avatar.

Though OSO and Piku were alright, everyone has been put off with Deepika challenging the Tik Tok user to try the look of an acid attack victim. Out fo sheer sensitivity of the matter, netizens felt that the actress could have left her 'Malti look' out of this PR stunt that has completely gone wrong. Joining the bandwagon is Kangana Ranaut who in an interview to India Today said, “Rangoli is an acid attack survivor and she was very hurt seeing the video. Sometimes, marketing teams tend to go overboard with their promotions, and I am sure Deepika must be having some explanation for this.”

Further stating, “The people who are hurt like my sister should be apologised to. This is not a make-up look and nobody should try and achieve it. That kind of insensitivity should be apologised for and there is no harm in doing that because we all make mistakes.”

Kangana also went on to request people to not try on the look with make-up as it comes across as insensitive. Kangana's sister, Rangoli herself is an acid attack survivor and had to undergo 54 correction surgeries post the attack.
