Kangana Ranaut slams Akshay Kumar’s recent release Selfiee calling it a ‘flop’
Bollywood’s undisputed queen Kangana Ranaut often rules headlines for mocking celebrities and slamming Hindi movies. In her latest Instagram post, she criticized Akshay Kumar's recent release ‘Selfiee’ calling it a flop. While reacting to a box office report of the movie which compared her with Akshay, the actress mocked Karan Johar. Ranaut even indirectly compared Selfiee with her film Dhakaad saying she did not see even one trade or media person talking about Akshay’s film.
Taking to her Instagram stories, the Tanu Weds Manu actress penned a note that read, “Karan Johar movie Selfie has hardly made 10 lakhs on the first day I don't see even one trade or media person talk about it forget mocking or bullying him the way they harass me…” In the next follow-up post, Kangana reposted an article that has the headline, “Male version of Kangana Ranaut!,' Netizens react as Akshay's ‘Selfiee’ fails to impress viewers, may be his 6th flop film in a row.” ALSO READ: Kangana Ranaut Takes A Nasty Dig At Akshay Kumar And Ajay Devgn For Not Promoting Her Films-READ BELOW
Alongside it, she added, “I was looking for news about selfie flop I found all the news is about me…yeh bhi meri hi galti hai,” with some laughing emojis. “Wah bhai Karan johar wah (Congrats),” Ranaut further wrote.
Directed by Raj Mehta, Selfiee stars Akshay, Emraan Hashmi, Nushrratt Bharuccha, and Diana Penty in the lead roles. Bankrolled by Karan Johar, the film has tanked at the box office as it collected only Rs 4 to 5 crore on its opening day. Reportedly, Selfiee is said to be the lowest opener for Akshay Kumar in the last ten years of his career.
