Veteran actress Tanuja had left her fans and well-wishers worried when reports of her being admitted to the hospital due to age-related illnesses started surfacing online on Sunday evening. The actress was rushed to the Criticare Hospital in Juhu, where she was kept in the ICU for further observation. Well, a recent report by Times Now News states that the actress was discharged on Monday evening.

The report states that the actress was discharged at 5:30 pm. According to the media publication’s source, the 80-year-old actress had vomited after eating something at home. Her family took the decision to rush her to the hospital, just to be safe. Her health was monitored by the doctors. Well, a recent report by ETimes suggests that the actress is yet to be discharged from the hospital. Quoting a PTI source, they stated in their report that she might be discharged in a day or two. For those who don’t know, the A Death in the Gunj actress is the daughter of filmmaker Kumarsen Samarth and actress Shobhna Samarth. She went on to marry filmmaker Shomu Mukherjee. Mother to Bollywood actresses Kajol and Tanishaa Mukerji, she is actor Ajay Devgn’s mother-in-law. Nysa Devgn and Yug Devgn are her grandkids. Having worked extensively in the Hindi and Bengali entertainment industry, she garnered a lot of fans. She started her career as a child actress with Hamari Beti in 1950. She made her debut as the leading lady with Hamari Yaad Aayegi in 1961. She went on to star in hit movies like Baharein Phir Bhi Ayengi, Jewel Thief, Paisa Ya Pyaar, Haathi Mere Saathi and Mere Jeevan Sathi. Her pairings with Rajesh Khanna, Dharmendra and Sanjeev Kumar were loved by the audiences.
