Kahaani 2 Ads Disappear From Newspapers; Producer Terms It 'Sensible Expenditure'
Jayantilal Gada has indulged in 'Cost Cutting' and justifiablly calls it as "Sensible Expenditure'
"Not at all," says Gada, when we called him a few minutes ago, "I am extremely happy with Kahaani 2."

So why have the ads disappeared from print? Gada shoots back, "Tell me who doesn't know that Kahaani 2 released in theatres last Friday? Every single multiplex near you is running it, why do I need to scream that from the roof tops? Will you only go and see it if I put it out in the papers?

People are still seeing my film and I think we all producers need to tone down the publicity of every film, it's all coming out from the ears and so much in-the-face even before the first show has been run.
People don't go to see films looking at ads, they just call up 'Just Dial' or go to 'Book My Show' and head to the nearest cinema hall.
So yeah, I have done a bit of Cost Cutting but I think that's just doing Sensible Expenditure. Besides, let's not overlook today's times where we are bridled with the problem of cash crunch."
Adds Gada, "Coming back to Kahaani 2, I have not lost any money on the film. Sujoy (Ghosh, director) and I knew that the collections wouldn't match up to Kahaani. We were out to make a hard-hitting film on Child Abuse and we have done it successfully. Kahaani and Kahaani 2 were two totally different films. We have got a lot of acclaim with the second part, and why do we only indulge in comparisons and never see a film in its individuality and even totality for that matter?"
Is Kahaani 3 happening, we asked? "Definitely. Kahaani is now an established franchise. Sujoy hasn't yet started writing the scripot of Kahaani 3, but I think he will get on it sooner or later. We are not in a tearing hurry, anyway," Gada concludes.
