JUST IN - Govinda Suffers Bullet Injury At Home After Misfire From Licensed Revolver
Bollywood actor and Shiv Sena leader Govinda suffered an accidental gunshot injury at his residence in Mumbai early on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred at around 4:45 AM as Govinda, 60, was preparing to leave for a trip to Kolkata. While placing his licensed revolver in a cupboard, the gun slipped from his hand, causing it to fire a bullet that hit his knee.

Govinda was immediately rushed to Criticare Hospital, where he was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Doctors successfully removed the bullet, and his condition is now stable. His manager, Shashi Sinha, explained that Govinda had been in the midst of his preparations when the revolver fell, leading to the accidental discharge. Sinha expressed his relief, saying it was fortunate that the injury was not more serious.

"The actor was getting ready to leave for Kolkata when the revolver slipped, and a bullet accidentally fired, hitting his leg. Thankfully, the bullet has been removed, and he is safe. It’s by God’s grace that the injury was not severe," Sinha told reporters, adding that Govinda is currently recovering in the hospital.

Govinda, a well-known actor in Bollywood and a prominent political figure, is expected to remain under observation for some time but is reportedly out of danger. His fans and followers were relieved to hear that the incident was not life-threatening, and they have been sending their good wishes for his speedy recovery.
