Jeetendra Remembers Dancing With Late Co-Star Sridevi During Himmatwala, Says, ‘She Insisted On Doing Practice With Me As Many Times As Needed’
Jeetendra opened up about working with actress Sridevi, where he revealed that she used to learn the dance steps immediately
Veteran actors Jeetendra and Govinda recently made an appearance on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs for a special 'The Dancing Heroes' episode, where the kids had to perform on some of the iconic songs of the duo. The duo was seen getting emotional and sharing anecdotes behind each of their song. After Rafa and Prajyot's performance on the songs 'Taki Oh Taki' and 'O Lal Dupatte Wali', the actor shared his experience of working with late actress Sridevi.
The 80-year-old recalled working with her and shooting the famous song from their 1983 film Himmatwala. He went on to share that she was an exceptional and a humble artist. He revealed that it took him six to seven rehearsals to learn his steps. He further shared that even though Sridevi would learn her choreography immediate, she would constantly practice with him until he got the steps right. Quoted by IANS, he said, “Sridevi was a great artist. I still remember, whenever I used to rehearse with her, she would get all the steps immediately. On the other hand, I needed at least six to seven rehearsals. To make it easier for her, I used to tell her that I will practice with the choreographer, but she was so humble and kind that she insisted on doing the practice with me as many times as needed to get the steps right.
