Jazbaa Goes To Cannes
Here's the latest update from the world of Bollywood. We bet you wouldn't want to miss this. Read on for details... Aishwarya will launch the first look of her comeback film at the French Riviera
After a five-year hiatus, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is returning to films with Sanjay Gupta’s Jazbaa. And she is leaving no stone unturned to make her comeback vehicle a success.
The actress will unveil the first look of Jazbaa at the Cannes Film Festival in a closed door United Nations panel discussion on May 16, followed by a media event on May 19.
The Sanjay Gupta-directed film is a courtroom drama with Aishwarya playing a successful lawyer. While the movie also stars Irrfan and Shabana Azmi, it is essentially a woman-oriented film. The makers feel that Aishwarya is as much the hero of the film as Irrfan. It is with this thought that they decided to unveil the first look at the UN panel discussion on gender equality.
Besides the Guzaarish star, the panel also includes Salma Hayek, Adele Exarchopoulos the actress of Blue Is The Warmest Color and producers of the upcoming film Carol Christine Vachone and Elizabeth Kushel.
Jazbaa, which releases on October 9, is likely to get a widespread US and global release.
