Janhvi Kapoor On Being Trolled Since Dhadak: ‘I Got Comments Like Good That Your Mother Is Not Around To See This’
Janhvi Kapoor, who was last seen in the Netflix film Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, has received a lot of appreciation for her performance in the film. While the film did get embroiled in a few controversies, people have been all praise for Janhvi Kapoor’s spectacular performance in the film. Janhvi made her Bollywood debut with the film Dhadak alongside Ishaan Khatter in 2018. She has now revealed that she received some really mean comments right from the time her debut film Dhadak released, however, she said she doesn’t allow herself to get bitter about it.

While speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Janhvi said that she doesn’t let the mean nasty comments affect her and she doesn’t let herself get bitter about them. She said that she has received some really nasty comments from people online, even ones where someone told her that it was good her mother Sridevi wasn’t around to see her film. “I don’t allow myself to get bitter about it. When my first film came I even got comments like...good that your mother is not around to see this…I can’t allow myself to get bitter or hurt. I’d rather see the criticism as an opportunity to better myself. I would rather live in a bubble where everything is okay and then try to improve myself,” she said.

Janhvi Kapoor’s mother Sridevi died in February 2018, a few months before Janhvi’s first film Dhadak released.

Speaking about the compliments she received for Gunjan  Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Janhvi Kapoor said that she had tears in her eyes reading some of the reviews, and that the audiences’ acceptance meant a lot to her.
