Janhvi Kapoor Found Her Morphed ‘Inappropriate’ Photos On ‘Almost Pornographic Pages’ As A Teenager; Actress Recalls Her Horrible Experience
Janhvi Kapoor recently opened up about how finding her photographs splashed on websites and computer screens ruined her schooling experience
Bollywood filmmaker Boney Kapoor and late actress Sridevi’s elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor has made a mark for herself in the Hindi entertainment industry with her versatile acting prowess and fashion statements. Having grown up in the limelight, she recently opened up about paparazzi culture and how it was a huge part of her life, growing up. In a recent interaction she shared how people would take pictures of her and her sister Khushi Kapoor, with or without their consent.
During her interview with Newslaundry, the 26-year-old went on to recall how things took a turn for the worse when she found her morphed photos on ‘almost pornographic pages’. Shedding light on the incident, she explained how as a teenager she had come across he fake photos. Talking about it she added that there has been an influx in fake images, especially with today’s advanced artificial intelligent technology. Quoted by Hindustan Times, she added, “People see these manipulated images and assume they’re real. Janhvi went on to recall how at the age of 10 she had to go through horrible schooling experiences. She recalled how she found her photographs splashed on websites and computer screens in school left a negative impact on her. As a student in class 4, she had entered the computer lab when she found one of the paparazzi images flashing in a website’s homepage. Recalling the scary experience, the Bawaal actress said, “I didn’t understand what was happening. My friends looked at me differently, they poked fun at me for not getting waxed... Many insinuated that I don’t have to work as I was famous anyway, weird taunts that I wouldn’t understand. Everyone kept asking me when I was leaving school and why I was on Yahoo. There was a lot of judgement, a lot of questioning of one’s self-worth from a very young age.”
On the work front, Janhvi Kapoor was last seen in Bawaal alongside Varun Dhawan. She has Mr. & Mrs. Mahi co-starring Rajkummar Rao in her pipeline. Apart from that she recently announced her Telugu debut in NTR 30 alongside Jr NTR.
