Janhvi Kapoor Breaks Down As Arjun Bhaiya & Dad, Boney, Hug Her After Dhadak Screening

Less than 24 hours are left for the release of Janhvi Kapoor’s debut film, Dhadak, co-starring Ishaan Khatter. The makers held a special screening of the film at Juhu, for the film industry members. Ishaan Khatter arrived with mom Neelima Azeem, Bhaiya-Bhabhi- Shahid Kapoor & Mira Rajput, while Janhvi Kapoor arrived with sisters, Anshula and Khushi Kapoor. Arjun Bhaiya and dad Boney Kapoor too joined in.

As Janhvi’s film is inching towards the release, Kapoor clan is likely to get emotional and anxious, for obvious reasons. And the same happened at the screening. According to our sources, as the film ended Janhvi broke down as Arjun and Boney warmly hugged her.

Screening which took place at YRF studios, saw Madhuri Dixit, Sara Ali Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Karan Johar, Malaika Arora, Kartik Aryan, Rekha, director Shashank Khaitan with wife, Kunal Kemmu, Soha Ali Khan, newlyweds Neha Dhupia-Angad Bedi, Sonakshi Sinha, TV celebs Arjun Bijlani and Tushar Kalia among others in attendance.

A few days back, in conversation with Bombay Times, when was Janhvi asked if she always aspired to be an actress, she had said, “As a child, I didn’t think of being an actor, even my mom didn’t want me to. However, I think in my head I already thought that I was an actor. In my school days, people would think that I was schizophrenic, because I would make up these wack stories. I remember, calling up my friend and saying that I am a secret agent and that I need to spy on someone in school. They would believe me. Once I told my friends that Shakira has flown down to Mumbai to personally teach me belly dancing, so now, I can teach all of you. My friends’ parents called up mom and asked, ‘You got Shakira down? How is she? That’s so cool, could you send Janhvi home so she can teach my daughter’. My mom would be amused by all my stories. I was like this comedy character at home.”

Dhadak will hit theatres tomorrow (July 20), and we’re sure fans can’t keep calm.
