A host of Indian celebrities from all walks of life like Farah Khan, Vikram Bhatt, Sanjay Mishra, Amit Tandon, Mithoon, and others are coming together to raise money for India, which is experiencing a devastating second wave of Covid-19 infections.
The second wave of COVID-19 in India is having a catastrophic effect on the whole country. In such a difficult time, many Bollywood celebrities are using their reach and resources to amplify the need for COVID-19 emergencies all over the country. Now SpotoboyE has exclusively learned that many big names from the Hindi, South Indian film industry, and the sports fraternity will be coming together for a fundraiser organized by Reliance in association with an NGO, the fund-raising event is called 'V For India'. The event will see the attendance of celebrities like Boney Kapoor, Farah Khan, Mahesh Bhupati, Johny Lever, Amit Tandon, etc.
The event will be hosted by various artists like Ranvijay, Karan Wahi, among others. The show will have multiple segments which will include personalities from all walks of life. A source close to the development says, "The entire show will have a run time of three hours and will either be shot in the personality's home or a hotel. The shooting will begin on 7th June, Monday and is tentatively scheduled to air on 27th June. It's a big event and the makers are still trying to get many more personalities onboard, actress Nushrratt Bharuccha, singer Amit Trivedi are among the few who are still in talks for the event."
On the other hand, many celebs like Alia Bhatt, Rashmika Mandanna, Bhumi Pednekar, Taapsee Pannu, Varun Dhawan, and Sara Ali Khan have been sharing information regarding COVID-19 resources. Even Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, and Suniel Shetty initiated the provision of oxygen concentrators and hospital beds across the country.
Global Icon Priyanka Chopra and her husband Nick Jonas had initiated a foundation to raise funds for providing medical equipment to India. Anushka Sharma and her cricketer husband Virat Kohli too started a campaign to gather funds for COVID-19 relief work in the country.
