Jamia Millia Protests: #ShameOnBollywood Trends As Twitterverse Stands Divided
Parineeti Chopra, Vicky Kaushal, Ayushmann Khurrana, and others took to social media and condemned the violent protests in Delhi’s Jamia Milia Islamia University. Now, #ShameOnBollywood is trending on Twitter for two reasons, first as a section of Twitterati slam big stars who chose to remain silent on the issue, and the other half slamming celebs supporting the students and overlooking their actions
Harassing police is not protest. Destroying public property is not protest. Peltings stones at hospital and residential areas is not protest. Supporting these thugs instead of supporting police .#ShameonBollywood

There appears to be a targeted campaign run by almost everyone in Bollywood to not mention Violence, riots, beating media journalist but rather talk about action by police to bring situation in control from mad protesters.#ShameonBollywood #Jamia #Delhi https://t.co/aN7AxLoMnb

Absolutely sure and convinced that none of the said actors will request or even condemn publicly about the situation...how will they? They proudly take selfies with @narendramodi ..so how will they condemn their government...#ShameOnDelhiPolice #ShameOnBollywood

Why our celebrities, who the people of the country venerate God-like, choose to remain silent on important national issues.#ShameonBollywood
