Jackie Shroff To Play The Baddie In Sarkar 3?

For some time now, Bollywood has been abuzz with rumours of Ram Gopal Varma making the 3rd instalment of Sarkar. In fact, SpotboyE.com had told you in April about the possibility of RGV and Amitabh Bachchan reuniting for the project (Are RGV and Big B planning Sarkar 3? Apr 7).

Now, there’s more news on this front. The maverick filmmaker, we hear, has approached none other than Jackie Shroff to play the main antagonist. While the actor is yet to sign on the dotted line, the talks are in advanced stages and if everything goes well, ‘Hero’ will turn villain for Ramu. Jaggu Dada’s last B-Town release was Chalk n Duster, which released in January this year.

Coming back to Sarkar 3 -- the second instalment Sarkar Raj came out in 2008 -- RGV had said that the film will be shot in Mumbai and London. While Amitabh will be a part of the movie, neither Abhishek or Aishwarya Rai -- both had featured in Sarkar Raj -- has been roped in this time around.

“Abhishek’s character died in the second film, Aishwarya too won’t be a part of Sarkar 3. The film will focus on Sarkar's life with a completely new set of characters who were not a part of the earlier films,” Ramu had asserted.

Buzz about Sarkar 3 gathered momentum when Big B dropped in to meet RGV on his birthday early this year. “Thank u for all the birthday wishes. .My real awesome moment was when Sarkar visited my new office called company,” Ramu had tweeted.
