Jackie Shroff is one of the finest actors in Bollywood, he recently opened up in a recent interview about his early days of dating his wife Ayesha Shroff back in old days. Reflecting on that time, he shared insights into his personality during the initial phases of their relationship. The Jailer star recently joined his daughter Krishna Shroff on her YouTube channel, where she inquired about his love story with Ayesha Shroff and the initial disapproval from her family. Jackie reminisced about the early days, recalling his unconventional attire with an open T-shirt or sweater filled with holes, long hippie hair, and a moustache. He humorously mentioned how his unconventional look might have contributed to the scepticism from Ayesha's family, with comments like, "What are you doing with this kind of chap?" After this interaction, Jackie said that he cleaned up and worked on himself. He further said,"I sudhro-fied (straightened up) and I married her. I changed my clothes, started behaving myself, started cleaning my nails, started brushing my teeth. I started looking presentable. And then I went and I said ‘Now can I marry your daughter?"

The 67-year-old shared that Ayesha's grandmother was not initially impressed with him, expressing that he didn't appear to be the ideal candidate for her daughter. Jackie humorously remarked, "I didn’t look like the guy you would say, ‘you are right to marry my daughter. I didn’t look the kind." It seems it took some time for him to win over the family's approval.

On the work front, the veteran actor recently featured in the comedy-drama "Mast Mein Rehne Ka" alongside Neena Gupta. His upcoming projects include Rohit Shetty's "Singham Again" and a film titled "Baap."
