Sonakshi Sinha puts an end to rumours regarding her signing the film based on Paralympic Champion Deepa Malik’s Biopic
Sonakshi Sinha is currently all set for the release of her upcoming film Khandaani Shafakhana. The film is directed by Shilpi Dasgupta and will star Sonakshi Sinha, Baadshah, Varun Sharma, and Anu Kapoor in lead roles. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Mahaveer Jain, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, Divya Khosla Kumar and Krishan Kumar and co-produced by Vinod Bhanushali. In the film, Sonakshi Sinha aka Baby Bedi plays the character of a sexologist who is trying to make the discussion on the taboo subject of sex mainstream in Indian society.
Recently there were rumours rounding the tabloids that Sonakshi will be seen playing the lead role in Paralympic Champion Deepa Malik’s biopic. Deepa Malik is the first Indian woman to win a medal at the Paralympics. Malik was honoured with the Arjuna award at the age of 42 and also won the silver medal in shot put at the 2016 Paralympic games.
Regarding the topic, Sonakshi said,”It’s all speculation right now. I am not the kind of person who would talk about a film until I’ve signed on the dotted line. People can speculate what they want but when my films have to be announced, the right people will do it.” When asked if the actress was interested in a biopic, she said,” I’d be interested in doing a good story, something which challenges me and has a great role for me.”
Sonakshi has had a beautiful journey in B-town post her debut in Dabangg. The actress will be next seen in the upcoming movies Khandaani Shafakhana, Mission Mangal and Dabangg 3, which are all films of different genres.
