The actor did not only stun and amazed audience in Bollywood but also in Hollywood with films like Life Of Pi, Inferno, Jurassic World and many more. One of the prolific actors of Bollywood, Irrfan is still being remembered by his fans and Bollywood celebrities. As we are still coming to terms with his death, filmmaker Anurag Basu recently revealed a story when he approached Irrfan for his film.
Well, the film in question was Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer Jagga Jasoos. Yes, while having a conversation with Mumbai Mirror, the filmmaker revealed that he wanted Khan to play Ranbir's father but things didn't work out as he was quoted saying, “I had approached him to play Ranbir’s (Kapoor) accident-prone, adoptive father in Jagga Jasoos. He was busy with other films then, and since Jagga Jasoos’ dates were all over the place, we couldn’t collaborate on that project."
The director then revealed that Irrfan was the one who pitched him the idea of Life In A Metro sequel. Since the duo couldn't collaborate for Jagga Jasoos, Khan suggested that they work in Metro sequel instead. "Metro 2 mujhe Irrfan ke saath hi karni thi," he said while adding that he doesn't know if he'll make it anymore after the actor's sudden demise.
To offer condolences, Basu took to his Twitter handle and paid his tribute which read, “#IrrfanKhan Indian cinema will not be the same again without you Dost! Wish i had one more chance to work with you again! Sutapadi, You're the Bravest person i know. My heartfelt condolences to You Babli and Ayan.” ALSO READ: Deepika Padukone Says 'Please Come Back' As She Remembers Her Piku Co-star Irrfan Khan With A Video Of Them Playing Tennis
