Irrfan Khan’s wife Sutapa Sikdar speaks about his effortless acting skills and praises son Babil Khan.
It’s been over a year since Irrfan Khan left for his heavenly abode - after his two-year-long battle with cancer. The late actor is inarguably one of the finest talents in the history of Indian cinema. He scaled great heights with sheer hard work and exceptional acting skills. Sutapa Sikdar, his wife, says he has never seen a man as hard working as her husband.
Sutapa, one of the many celebrities who have spoken about Irrfan in an episode of the docu-series Tarader Shesh Tarpan, said, "The way he used to talk to people, I'm sure everyone could understand the kind of honesty he had in him, which reached the other person through his words."
Sutapa also spoke about Irrfan Khan’s effortless acting skills. She said, "People always used to say Irrfan never really acted, I've heard this innumerable times from innumerable people. I always wondered if so much hard work goes into 'not acting', how much effort would be going into 'acting'. I have never seen a man in my entire life working so hard, even my son, who is getting ready to walk on his father's path, asks me what he used to do, and I always tell him that your father used to work 10 times harder than you do."
Irrfan Khan made a quintessential debut in Bollywood with a feature film - Salaam Bombay. It was an unusual and one-of-a-kind attempt that decided his fate for years to come and laid the foundation of an actor who would lead to being one of the critically acclaimed actors of all time.
Irrfan Khan's last screen appearance was for the movie, Angrezi Medium. His co-stars Radhika Madan, Deepak Dobriyal, Pankaj Tripathi, and director Homi Adajania have also shared their thoughts about Irrfan in the docu-series.
