Irrfan Khan’s Son Babil Khan’s Intention Is To Take His Late Father’s Legacy Forward; Reveals He Does Not Want To Do A 100 Cr Film With No Artistic Value
Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan, who is graduating from film school this year, opened up about his future plans. He hinted that he will follow his father’s footsteps and revealed his intentions are to take his late father’s legacy forward. Babil recently made an appearance with his mother Sutapa Sikdar at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa. The young Khan shared pictures from the event as he stood alongside his mother on the stage. He also remembered his late father in another emotional post.

On Instagram, Babil Khan shared a picture of the first page of a book titled Actors on Acting. The book is signed by late Irrfan Khan, who had written that he purchased it in New York, during the film of Mira Nair’s 2006 film The Namesake. Immediately, fans flooded the comments section with questions related to Babil’s acting debut. The aspiring actor answered to a fan asking him about his plans in the “field of acting”. Babil replied, “I am already in the field of acting; when I will appear in a film is the question. Once I have graduated around May, I will start looking into offers." When another fan asked him whether he has plans for the Indian cinema or Hollywood, Babil replied, “Indian.”

Meanwhile, talking about his future plans during the IFFI 2021 event, Babil mentioned he wants to pursue direction first. He added, “I have to do it the right way. I don't want to do a big movie in which I am dancing, it makes a 100 crore and has no artistic value. My intention is to take his (refers to his father Irrfan) legacy forward. Not to become a star. It has to be done in the right way."
