Late actor Irrfan Khan’s elder son Babil Khan is pursuing a course in filmmaking in London. The star kid is often seen sharing some pictures and short glimpses of himself with the camera. Well, Babil recently shared a video, showing the late actor’s accolades which are placed on a shelf and he hoped to have an illustrious career just like his father. The video showcases four Filmfare awards that Irrfan has received during his career. He also hopes to find some space amidst all the awards.
He had bagged 4 Filmfare Awards - one in 2018, Best Actor for Hindi Medium, Critics Award Best Actor for Paan Singh Tomar in 2013, Best Supporting Actor for Life In A Metro in 2008 and the Best Villain award for Haasil in 2004. Sharing the video, Babil captioned it with, "Makin space for mine hopefully?” Which was followed by fingers crossed emoticon. His fans showed him support and were pretty confident that he will bring more awards just like his father. One fan commented, “Lots of love and prayer..so that you will add more” while another one said, “You will definitely add more.”
On Irrfan's 54th birthday in January this year, Babil shared a candid video of Irrfan recording the moment with his wife Sutapa Sikdar and Babil which was followed by a lovingly written note.
It read, “You never identified with institutions such as contractual marriage and birthday celebrations. Perhaps, that is why I don’t remember anyone’s birthdays because you never remembered mine and never encouraged me to remember yours. It was just normal to us what seemed absurd from the outside, we celebrated every day (bringing personal experiential authenticity to the cliche). On the occasion, Mamma would have to remind us both; but this time I could not forget yours if I tried. It’s your birthday Baba. Shoutout to all the technologically inept parents, notice that they did not finish saying that they miss me.”
