In last night’s Indian Premier League match between the Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals at the Wankhede Stadium, the Challengers cruised easily to a 10 wicket victory. RCB chased the target quite comfortably with 21 balls to spare on the back of a century by Devdutt Padikal and the skipper Virat Kohli scoring 72 not out. In doing so Kohli became the first player in the IPL history to score more than 6,000 tournament runs. After Virat completed his first half-century of the season, he was seen blowing kisses to Anushka Sharma, and dedicating the half-century to daughter Vamika.
The video of Virat Kohli’s special gesture for his daughter Vamika, has gone viral on social media. The video shows him raising his bat to the RCB dugout acknowledging the applause from his peers. Then he was seen pointing towards the stands, blowing kisses to Anushka, and dedicating the knock to his daughter Vamika by doing a cradling gesture. Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma welcomed their daughter Vamika on January 11 this year. They have been keeping her away from the media glare, and have also requested the paparazzi to respect their privacy and refrain from clicking pictures of their daughter.

Before Vamika’s birth, in an interview with Vogue, Anushka Sharma had said, “We definitely do not want to raise a child in the public eye— we don’t plan on engaging our child in social media. I think it’s a decision your child should be able to take. No kid should be made to be more special than the other. It’s hard enough for adults to deal with it.
