Income Tax Raids Bahubali Producers
It's all happening out there in the money zone. Tough times for everyone, and tougher times for Bahubali makers
Income Tax
department officials have raided the offices and homes of the producers of
magnum opus Baahubali (Bahubali) in Hyderabad- Shobhu Yarlagadda and
Prasad Devineni.
Further details
of the raid are awaited. At the time of going online, we heard that the makers
of Baahubali had gone inaccessible.
The first instalment in the Baahubali series collected over Rs 650 crore gross
at the worldwide box-office.
Reports suggest
that the pre-release business of Baahuabli: The Conclusion (Part 2) is likely
to exceed 400 crore. Sources from the film industry believe that these huge
figures apparently caught the attention of the I-T department.
It's definitely
a big shock to the Bahubali makers, they were surely not expecting this soon
after the ban on Rs 500 and 1000 notes.
Let's see if
this raid delays the film's release.
