Imran Rejected For Salman Starrer Sultan
The actor was in consideration for a key role in Sultan but Adi felt he wouldn't 'fit the bill'
Imran Khan's career seems to be on a downward spiral. After Kattti Batti failed to revive the actor's chances in B-Town, there was another mega project which could have just turned the tables. But not anymore.
SpotboyE has it that Imran was in consideration for a pivotal part in the upcoming Salman Khan starrer Sultan. Director Ali Abbas Zaffar, who gave Imran one of the few hits of his career- Mere Brother Ki Dulhan- was in talks with the actor.
However, a source has pointed out that when the details were discussed with producer Aditya Chopra, things turned against Imran.
Says the source, "Adi felt that Imran wouldn't be able to bring the rugged intensity the part requires. Although clips of Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola were also brought up (Imran had played a Haryanvi in MKBKM in the same region where Sultan is going to be set), the talks didn't culminate in Imran's favour."
Last heard, Adi was planning to have Ayushmann Khurranna step into Imran's shoes.
Well, the game of musical chairs is perhaps Bollywood's favorite one!
