I&B Minister Rathore fires back at Anurag’s North Korea statement

Anurag Kashyap and his production Udta Punjab have become the talking point, with the filmmaker lashing out at the Censor Board after they suggested 89 cuts in the drugs drama.

Kashyap even went a step ahead and tweeted how India has become as dictatorial as North Korea (Anurag Kashyap: India has become North Korea, June 7).

This evening, the Minister of State of Information & Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore was asked for his opinion on the subject at a press meet in Kharagpur.

Singh smirked before diplomatically throwing the question back at the audience. He said, “India is a democracy. Let’s take a vote on who thinks India is as bad as North Korea.”
