Bareilly Ki Barfi director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari joins hands with her husband, Dangal director, Nitesh Tiwari, for an ambitious project. The two are collaborating on a film on Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy and his wife, company’s chairperson, Sudha Murthy.

Ashwiny will be directing the film and it will be jointly produced by her and her husband, Nitesh. Nitesh is the man behind the award spinning real life gritty saga, Dangal (featuring Aamir Khan, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Sanya Malhotra and Zaira Wasim). He has also directed, the soon-to-be-released Chhichhore, starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Shraddha Kapoor.

Its prodced by Mahaveer Jain, Ashwiny IyerTiwari , Nitesh Tiwari and co produced by Sanjay Tripathi. Story idea & principal is conceptualised by Sanjay Tripahi.


Their latest based on the lives of India’s first IT couple, the Murthys and their contribution to the country’s and world economy and how they revolutionised the IT space, with a small start, will surely make for a riveting drama.

A source told Mumbai Mirror, ““She has already started researching Indian IT’s first couple because she wants to have all the facts right before she dives into this inspiring story. The film is expected to roll next year. Sanjay Tripathy (writer-director) came up with the idea and scripting will begin soon,” a source informed.

Murthy worked with Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad as chief systems programmer and later at Patni Computer Systems in Pune. He started Infosys in 1981 and served as its CEO from 1981 to 2002 and as chairman from 2002 to 2011. Murthy has been listed among the 12 greatest entrepreneurs of our time by Fortune magazine.[1 He has been described as the "father of the Indian IT sector" by Time magazine.
