Hum Do Hamare Do: Paresh Rawal Reveals He Was Supposed To Star Opposite Ratna Pathak Shah In Golmaal 3
Paresh Rawal and Ratna Pathak Shah’s starring in Hum Do Hamare Do as onscreen parents of Rajkummar Rao, has already got the fans eagerly waiting for the film. Known and praised for their craft of acting, Paresh Rawal in conversation with Pinkvilla, revealed he was supposed to star in Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal 3 as Ratna Pathak’s love interest. During the conversation, the senior actress was reminded of Golmaal 3 where she and Mithun Chakraborty too played an old couple who were in love in their young days. But head separate ways, only to meet once again when they grow old.

Responding to this Ratna Pathak replied, “Yes, it’s correct but I didn’t remember that one. That was a completely different kind of film and this is much meatier. Golmaal had many tracks, but it’s interesting to have an older relationship.” Spilling the beans, her co-star Paresh Rawal revealed, “I was supposed to do Mithun Dada’s role in Golmaal 3. But due to date problems, I had to give up on the film. And now, here we are.”

The duo also shared what made them give a nod to the film. Ratna Pathak informs, “There are enough seniors in the audience now, so we need to make films for them too. Finally, we are coming into our own.”

Paresh Rawal feels the subject is tackled with maturity despite having comic undertones, “Normally, our love stories are not even mature. Fortunately, this one has turned out to be good and I knew it’s going to be a beautiful journey.” ALSO READ: Hum Do Hamare Do Teaser Out: Rajkummar Rao Is Set To ADOPT Parents For His On-screen Ladylove Kriti Sanon
