It’s only becoming more and more evident that director-producer Ashutosh Gowariker is following producer-director Sanjay Leela Bhansalis school of film-making.
Ashutosh chose to have a slew of workshops with Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde before starting Mohenjo Daro in Bhuj so that they can work on their chemistry.
This might sound familiar because even Bhansali has workshops with his lead cast to check on the chemistry between them, and work on it if need be before the film rolls. Bhansali did that with Ram Leela and also before starting Bajirao Mastani.
And now, like Bhansali, Ashu has banned relatives of the cast and crew of Mohenjo Daro from entering the sets in Bhuj.
Ashutosh started this practice ever since the Bhuj schedule began.
“Ashutosh has made all the arrangements necessary to make his cast and crew comfortable. Air-conditioners, coolers, seating areas and food best suited for summer have been made available to everyone.
But no one is allowed to bring relatives on the sets because Ashutosh doesnt want the look of his film to be leaked. Even Hrithik doesnt bring his sons or his family on location though he misses them a lot. And, everyone who leaves the set at the end of the day has to hand his/her phone over to be checked." Phew!
We wonder if Ashutosh's tactics will succeed in guarding against the invasion of paparazzi.
