Hrithik Roshan’s Cousin Pashmina Roshan Recalls Battling Depression As She ‘Wasn't Artistically Satisfied In Marketing’

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan’s cousin Pashmina Roshan is all set to make her much-awaited Bollywood debut with Ishq Vishk Rebound alongside Rohit Saraf, Jibraan Khan, and Naila Grrewal. A sequel to the Shahid Kapoor and Amrita Rao starrer, the movie is set to release on June 21, 2024. With the movie’s trailer receiving love from the netizens, she recently opened up about her life experiences and revealed that she battled depression during her initial years of studying marketing as she wasn’t artistically satisfied.
In an interview with the news agency ANI, Roshan opened up about battling depression. She explained how she was confused about whether she could become a good actor. Having done theatre in school, she was still not confident. She added, “So, I had applied to different universities in the UK for marketing. I got my visa, rooms were booked and it was summer holiday. I was very depressed. All my friends would go for parties and they would do everything. The 28-year-old actress went on to share how she wasn’t ‘artistically satisfied in marketing,’ she felt like she wasn’t good enough for it. Quoted by the Free Press Journal, she shared, “Since then I took a photo shoot actually to see what was in me. I showed it to my father and my uncle and they said yes, there is something in everyone but you have to polish it. From that time, I did back-to-back acting and dance classes. I learned Bharatanatyam and other dance forms. After facing multiple rejections multiple times she bagged the opportunity with Ishq Vishk Rebound. “After a lot of rejections, after continuously evaluating myself and taking feedback from family, after many years, I got this opportunity and this film. And I am very grateful for that,” Pashmina concluded.
