Here’s Why Akshay Kumar Won’t Be A Part Of Hera Pheri 3; Reveals, ‘It’s A Part My Journey, But I Wasn’t Satisfied With The Script’
Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is one of the best actors from the industry when it comes to comedy movies. It’s safe to say that he ruled the audience’s hearts with his expressions and comic timings during the 2000s and early-2010s. From Hera Pheri to blockbusters like Welcome, Bhool Bhulaiya, most of his comedy movies are considered as cult classics. Even today all his movies are prevalent.

However, he broke the hearts of the netizens when he revealed that he wouldn’t be reprising his role as Raju in the third installment of Hera Pheri 3. Yes, you read that right! During the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit that was hosted last month, Akki opened up about why he wouldn’t be returning to the franchise anymore. Citing creative differences, the 55-year-old actor had said, “Hera Pheri has been a part of me. A lot of people have memories and even I have good memories of it. But I feel sad that we haven't made the third part for so many years. The film was offered to me but I was not satisfied with the screenplay and the script. I was not happy with it.”

He went on to share that he wanted to do films and roles that the audience wanted. He further added, “For me, the movie is a part of life, my journey in a huge way. I'm equally sad about it and that I'm not able to do the third part. But I'm not happy with the way things have shaped up creatively.”

The Hera Pheri 3 row started when Paresh Rawal, who plays the role of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, confirmed the speculations about Kartik being a part of the franchise. His declaration had left the fans fuming as they assumed that, just like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, he would replace Akshay as Raju. Putting all the speculations to rest, Suniel Shetty, who essays the role of Shyam, revealed that the young actor was approached for a different character as Raju is irreplaceable.

However, at that time, the audience had started to trend 'No Raju, no Hera Pheri' on Twitter. Talking about the same, Khiladi Kumar had said, “As much as hurt they feel, I'm hurt as well. It's sad thing but they kept this topic trending on social media and I want to thank them. I realise the length and the breath of my fan following now. They love me so much but I apologise to them that I won't be doing Hera Pheri 3.” ALSO READ: KRK Claims Akshay Kumar’s PR Is Spreading FAKE Rumours About His Association With Hera Pheri 3 As They Want To DOWNPLAY Kartik Aaryan’s Involvement- VIDEO INSIDE

Talking about his films, Akshay Kumar hasn’t seen much success this year. His movies, Bachchan Pandey, Samrat Prithviraj, Raksha Bandhan, Cuttptlli and Ram Setu, tanked horribly at the box-office and received negative reviews from the critics and audience. Well, the recent reports are state that that producer Firoz Nadiadwala, who was miffed with the Khiladi Kumar for his earlier declaration, has met the actor to sort out their differences. They are in talks to get the popular character back as Raju became famous because of Akshay Kumar.
