Actress Janhvi Kapoor can’t thank Madhuri Dixit enough for taking her mom, Sridevi’s role in Kalank after her untimely demise. Check what she has to say after watching the movie’s teaser
Janhvi Kapoor is the eldest daughter of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor who made her debut last year with the film, Dhadak. Following Sridevi's tragic end, Madhuri Dixit was roped in for the role of Bahaar Begum in Kalank. Janhvi wrote an emotional note about the movie being very special to Sridevi: "Abhishek Varman's next film was very close to mom's heart... Dad, Khushi and I are thankful to Madhuri ji for now being a part of this beautiful film."
Recently at an event, Janhvi spoke about seeing Madhuri Dixit in place of Sridevi after watching the Kalank teaser and said, “I was excited to see her in Kalank from audience point of view. I think teaser of Kalank and every character’s look in the film is looking really beautiful so, I am really excited to see that film.”

At the HELLO! Hall of Fame Awards 2019, Janhvi Kapoor won an award for Cinematic Debut Of The Year. She told the media, “Fame is important for every actor and whatever fame I have earned is all because of my family. I have been getting recognised more after my first film so, I am very grateful for love and support which I received from the media and the audience. I have experienced fame since my childhood so now my work, acting and films are more important to me than fame.”
Janhvi is currently working on the biopic of Gunjan Saxena, the Indian Air Force’s female combat pilot, who was a part of the Kargil War in 1999.
