Veteran Bollywood actress Hema Malini made a mark in the industry with ehr charming looks, exceptional dance skills and versatile performances. Termed as the ‘Dream Girl,’ the eternal beauty continues to rule the hearts of the audiences. From her professional life to her personal life, she has never shied away while talking about her experiences and taking a trip down the memory lane. In a recent interview, she opened up about the time a filmmaker wanted her to remove the pin of her saree.

Sharing the horrifying experience, Malini revealed that she had a habit of pinning her saree’s pallu. Recalling the incident, she said that the director wanted to ‘shoot some kind of a scene’ and advised her to remove the pin. Uncomfortable with the request, she told them that the pallu would slip. Quoted by Indian Express, she further added, “I said, ‘saree niche gir jayegi’ (the loose end will slide down). The 74-year-old yesteryear actress went on to add how filmmakers these days do not take the time to make their actors look appealing on the big-screen. She went on to also express that filming has become more challenging and that she doesn't think she will work again. However, she didn’t take up the movie as her mother had refused her from doing it. 

The actress had recently made the headlines when she and her daughter’s Esha Deol Takhtani and Ahana Deol Vohra were missing from Dharmendra’s grandson Karan Deol’s wedding. Days after the actor had posted a public apology to his second family for not reaching out more, an old interview of the ladies had gone viral. In the interview that had opened up about his orthodox, patriarchal mindset and how he was an absentee-father because of his work commitments.

On the work front, Hema Malini was last seen in Shimla Mirchi in 2017. The movie stars Rajkummar Rao and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles.
