Reportedly, the biopic on boxer Hawa Singh was in the pipeline since early 2017. Hawa Singh will be produced by Sam F Fernandes and Kamlesh Singh. The film, which is directed by Prakash Nambiar, is expected to go on the floor soon. Before Sooraj, reports of John Abraham bagging the role made headlines. Now, as Sooraj has officially come on board, he has reportedly go through a lot of professional training for some time to look and play the part.
For the uninitiated, Hawa Singh had won National Boxing Championship Title undisputedly for 11 years in a row from 1961 to 1972. He was a six-foot-one boxer who had first joined the army in 1956 at the age of 19.
