Harshvardhan Talks About Sonam Kapoor's Marriage For The First Time
Harshvardhan Kapoor is not like a regular ‘Kapoor’. You won’t find him getting all chatty or spot him at Bollywood parties often. But as a brother, he is all for his sisters- Sonam and Rhea. And here’s what he thinks about the latest addition in his family- his brother-in-law, Anand Ahuja...
Harshavardhan Kapoor, who made his debut with Rakeysh
Omprakash Mehra’s Mirzya, is coming back with his 2nd film, Bhavesh Joshi-
Superhero. We caught up with the Kapoor lad to talk about his second stint in
Bollywood and also about the much-talked about wedding of his family- Sonam
Kapoor with Anand Ahuja. The actor, who usually is a man of few words, spoke
about his brother-in-law, Anand Ahuja and the wedding at length.
Here’s our conversation with Harshvardhan Kapoor about
Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja’s marriage:
Tell us something about Sonam’s marriage...
Marriage was a lot of fun. It was supposed to be done
abroad initially, but we decided to do it here, because then we could get
everybody to attend. Anand is a great guy- a very quiet guy. They
are very happy and that’s what is important. In fact, Anand and me are
extremely close, we had immediately hit it off.
Anything in particular you like in him?
It’s very difficult to meet people who are uncomplicated. He has no ulterior motive and
his soul is pure. Also, Anand has got a very good energy around him; you feel
very safe with him.
Harshvardhan Kapoor With Sister Sonam Kapoor
Initially when Sonam introduced Anand, weren’t you
protective about her as a brother?
No, I am not that kind of a guy. I think Rhea and Sonam
are very intelligent.
But didn’t you tell them if they are going the right way
or not...
No, no, probably because I am not the elder brother- all
that is a very ‘elder brother thing’. But even Arjun is not like that. It’s not
the nature of our family in general- we are very ‘live and let live’ sort of
people.
Looks like the Kapoor siblings have a great bond and
understanding.
