Hardik Pandya- KL Rahul Controversy: Diana Edulji Wants Alleged Sexual Offender BCCI CEO Rahul Johri Out From Inquiry Committee
Member of COA (Committee of Administration) Diana Edulji has insisted on a thorough inquiry on the K L Rahul and Hardik Pandya controversy regarding their behaviour on Koffee With Karan 6 show, pending which the two players would remain suspended. Edulji who is the only woman member in the BCCI has now written a letter to Vinod Rai, the Chief of COA requesting that the CEO Rahul Johri should be not included in the panel of the inquiry committee because Johri who was called out in the #MeToo controversy by a female author and faces grave sexual allegations against him.

Clearly, Hardik-Rahul controversy is far from over. Just yesterday, Hotstar has pulled down the episode in question, which means no promos, no videos and the full episode is no more available for stream. And thern, we heard that Hardik  and Rahul have been suspended pending an inquiry. The decision came after Edulji recommended suspension till further action against the two. BCCI's legal team had refused to declare the duo's comments a violation of the code of conduct. A source in the BCCI had told PTI that the cricketers will be issued fresh show cause notices before a formal enquiry begins. "Whether it will be an internal committee of the BCCI or an adhoc ombudsman who will conduct an inquiry, is yet to be ascertained," the official said.

"The Indian team management will take a call on whether they would want to keep the two with the team or send them back. There is a school of thought that they be kept with the team as the backlash back home could be severe but majority in BCCI brass is against the decision," the official had added. We should soon know when Pandya and Rahul will land back in India. One shuddeers to think how they will face the paparazzi at the airport. Or will they be let out through some back door?

There is now also a rumour that both cricketers might not find a place in the World Cup squad. Let's see what happens. "So it be," Diana Edulji had Mumbai Mirror.
