Rapper Taran Kaur Dhillon aka Hard Kaur's 'hard' comments have become a topic of discussion. Recently, a video of Hard Kaur using cuss words at Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat went viral on the internet. So much so that, a complaint was also filed against the rapper for her abusive language and critical remarks on them. In the video, Kaur is seen abusing and saying how the politicians are fooling people and the citizens need to read the Indian Constitution properly to know what their rights are. 

The video came out about 10 days back and has been widely circulated on social media and WhatsApp groups. Now, the lady has been charged under various sections of the Indian Penal Code including sedition and defamation for her posts on social media. According to a leading portal, Kaur was booked under Indian Penal Code sections 124A (sedition, attempt to excite disaffection or hatred), 153A (promoting enmity between different groups on ground of religion), 500 (defamation) and 505 (intent to incite), and section 66 of the IT Act (for sending offensive messages).

A written complaint was filed by a local lawyer, Shashank Shekhar. Reports state that Shekhar filed the complaint against the rapper as he was deeply hurt by her comments. According to Amar Ujala, a police inspector stated that the investigation was being handed over to the Crime Branch’s Surveillance Cell.
