Janhvi Kapoor recently released her upcoming film, Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl in which she plays the titular role of pilot Gunjan Saxena while her cousin and Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor’s daughter Shanaya Kapoor was the assistant director on the film. As she donned the assistant director's hat, Shanaya always accompanied Janhvi to various shooting locations. Speaking of which, the starlet's mother Maheep recently shared a series of videos and pictures of the 'assistant director' Shanaya and her work on the sets of Gunjan Saxena on her Instagram account. 
 
In the pictures, we see Shanaya, right from working hard with Janhvi and team on the sets to chilling with her team. While sharing the post, Maheep captioned it as, "Learning the ropes #SweetestTeamEver #AssistantDirector #KargilGirl" In one of the pictures, we also see Shanaya pointing towards her name in the AD list which is shown in the end credits of the film. In the comment section, we also got to see Shanaya's cousin Arjun Kapoor's ladylove Malaika Arora's comment who was seen applauding her for her work.
 
Earlier, in May, Shanaya’s father/actor Sanjay Kapoor also shared a selfie of his daughter while welcoming her in the industry. He wrote, “My Hard working daughter shooting in 41 degrees as an assistant director, warm welcome to the film industry #day20”


Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor's Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, also starring Pankaj Tripathi and Angad Bedi, is receiving recent good reviews from critics and her fans. The film is a biopic that showcases the chronicles of the Flight Lieutenant Gunjan Saxena who becomes the first Indian female pilot in combat. Apart from this, she also has Roohi-Afza with Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma, Dostana 2 with Karthik Aaryan and Lakshya while the other film is the multi-starrer, Takht.
