Janhvi Kapoor has finally wrapped the shoot of Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl which is helmed by Sharan Sharma. Janhvi will be portraying the character of the first woman IAF pilot Gujan Saxena. After launching her in Shashank Khaitan’s directorial Dhadak, Karan Johar is backing Janhvi’s next film - The Kargil Girl. On August 29, 2019, the makers shared the first look posters of Janhvi Kapoor as the pilot.

Recently, Janhvi took to her Instagram account and announced the wrap up of the film by sharing a couple of pictures of hers with the director and other crew members of the film. She captioned her series of picture, “Spent two days trying to think of a caption that’ll do justice to what this experience has meant to me but nothing sums it up. It’s a film wrap and I feel blessed to have been on this special journey, and through it to find my best friend @sharansharma - like you say it’s all about the process; and I don’t think there will ever be one as pure, honest, adventurous and memorable as this one. Well, looks like Janhvi Kapoor can’t do without her chuski. Check out the 4th picture, you’ll know what are we talking about. The film co-stars powerhouse performer Pankaj Tripathi, who will be playing the role of Janhvi’s father whereas Angad Bedi will portray the role of Anshuman (Janhvi’s brother).
On the film front, Janhvi Kapoor will next be seen in Ghost Stories directed by Karan Johar, Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, Dibakar Banerjee, which is slated to drop on Netflix on January 1, 2020. She’s also gearing up for Roohi Afza opposite National award winner Rajkummar Rao.
