Grammys 2022: After Oscars 2022, Lata Mangeshkar Yet Again LEFT OUT From Tribute, Fans Are Furious-READ TWEETS!
The recently concluded Grammy Awards 2022 took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The reputed award function was hosted on April 3, 2022 and the honorary function has been making it to the headlines for multiple reasons. However, it has been receiving flak for its Memoraim segment, for missing out on mentioning late legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar’s mention.

Comparatively, even Oscars 2022 also missed out on paying the legendary singer a tribute and now, repetitive ignorance to paying her honours has left the fans pretty furious.

A fan tweeted, “Telling me one of the world’s BIGGEST music icon #LataMangeshkar died this year and couldn’t get mention in the Grammy “in memoriam”? Truly a rubbish show indeed.” Another fan posted, “#GRAMMYs #LataMangeshkar Grammys just remembered #all musicians who died last year. Missing #LataMangeshkar they missed big.” One more fan tweeted, “Wow Grammys didn't even to bother mentioning #LataMangeshkar . Do you even know her level and contribution to song and music? #GRAMMYs.”

A user called The Recording Academy, which organises the Grammy Awards, clueless for failing to mention Lata, while others said the action was contrary to their claims about diversity and inclusion.

Another user wrote, "#Grammys forgetting #LataMangeshkar is a huge failure by the @RecordingAcad since there was so much talk about diversity and inclusion!!”

A third one wrote, "So the in-memoriam segment of #GRAMMYs, just like the #Oscars2022, doesn't include legendary #LataMangeshkar and then these award ceremonies will harp on about diversity & inclusivity. LOL!"

A Twitter user called the late singer a "bigger star" than everyone else on the Grammy stage. They wrote, "First the Oscars, now no mention of #LataMangeshkar in the In Memoriam of the #GRAMMYs either. How clueless are these executives? Lataji was a bigger star than everyone on that Grammy stage tonight."

One said they are going to skip Grammys for life after it skipped paying tribute to Lata, while another wrote, "totally disgraceful to forget #LataMangeshkar so is In the Guinness book of records for singling the most songs ever, 50,0000.#sad #RIP." Another tweeted, "#GRAMMYs didn't pay tribute to the greatest singer of Indian history: #LataMangeshkar or #bappilahiri."

For the unversed, Lata Mangeshkar ventured as a singer in the late 1940s. With a career spanning around seven decades, she has crooned some of the best renditions and was given multiple titles like Queen of Melody, Nightingale of India, and Voice of the Millennium. Mangeshkar passed away on 6th February 2022.
