Govinda's Twitter Account HACKED? Actor Issues Clarification After Getting Trolled For Tweet On Gurugram Violence-READ BELOW!
Govinda seems to have deleted his Twitter handle after he reportedly found himself on the receiving end for a post on Haryana violence. On Thursday, the actor shared an update on Instagram claiming that his Twitter handle had been hacked. In the video, the comedy king declared that the tweet was neither made by him nor his team.

Furthermore, the actor also added that he would be filing a complaint with the cybercrime cell.

The landmark development comes after Govinda broke his silence with a Tweet condemning the Haryana violence and it instantly went viral. It resulted in Govinda getting trolled and receiving abusive messages from a section of netizens on the social networking site. As per the reports, the actor had shared a post on Twitter purportedly about Muslim shops being looted in the city and it instantly sparked a widespread debate.

In his Instagram video, Govinda said: "Please do not attribute this Haryana tweet to me. I haven't done this. Somebody has hacked my account. I am just doing a complaint to cybercrime now. I'll look into the matter." He continued in Hindi (translated): "To my all well-wishers, fans in Haryana, I want to tell you that I haven't used this Twitter account for years. My team has also denied any responsibility for this tweet. They won't tweet anything without asking me. I'll give this matter to cyber-crime. They'll look into the matter."

"As election season is approaching, some people have thought I might stand for a party. So, they might have tweeted this but I've never done such things. I never express my views on such matters," Govinda signed off the video.

For those unaware, communal clashes broke out this week in Gurugram after a mob tried to stop a Vishva Hindu Parishad procession in neighbouring Nuh. Mosques and shops have been targeted in incidents of arson and vandalism.
