Forgotten Police Report Against Arjun Rampal Comes Back To Life
A leading tabloid has splashed Arjun's face on its front page, questioning the police for not taking action against the actor for meeting gangster Arun Gawli at a city hospital
Arjun Rampal, who plays gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli in the upcoming film Daddy, may have more in common with the outlaw than expected.
A leading tabloid has accused the actor of "brazenly breaking the law" when he met Gawli at a city hospital in 2014 in order to prep for his role. The report also questions the Navi Mumbai Police for "refusing" to take action against the actor.

When the secret meeting came to light in the beginning of last year, Mumbai Commissioner Rakesh Maria ordered an inquiry into the incident and the JJ Marg Police even called Arjun for questioning.
But the matter was soon forgotten. But now it is back to haunt Arjun Rampal.
Gawli earned the nickname of Daddy, for his Robinhood-esque deeds after rising in the ranks of the underworld. He was even elected as an MLA in 2004 from Dagdi Chawl.
The first teaser of Daddy released a few days ago and Arjun’s transformation into Gawli was lauded.

Arjun had spoken about his meeting with Gawli in a recent interview too and clarified that the gangster never wanted his portrayal to be heroic or glamorous. “When I met Arun briefly after he was out on parole, he told me don’t portray me like a hero. That is not what I want. What I have done is done. I have served my time and punishment for it,” Arjun had said.
But the big question is: Will Arjun's efforts to get into character cause legal trouble for him?
