First Day Box-Office Collection: Kangana Ranaut's Simran Starts Slowly, Collects ONLY Rs 2.77 Crore
While critics can’t stop praising Kangana Ranaut’s performance in Hansal Mehta’s Simran, the other side of the coin is that the common man has not liked the film as whole. Unfortunately, Simran has opened to the ticket windows with a low figure of Rs 2.77 crore...

Kangana Ranaut’s Simran directed by Hansal Mehta has
witnessed a very low opening on Day 1. The film could make only Rs 2.77 crore
on the first day of its release.
Popular trade analyst, Taran Adarsh took to Twitter to

Interestingly, everyone
has loved Kangana’s performance but are not very happy with the film. Author
and SpotboyE.com’s reviewer Khaild Mohamed gave the film 3 stars. Praising
Kangana’s acting chops, Khalid said, “Despite weak direction and a shallow script,
Kangana Ranaut rocks big-time."
The first day collections are low but its too early to
say anything as Kangana's strong performance in the film might
help accelerate its collections in the coming days..

Kangana Ranaut In Simran
Coming back to Simran, the story revolves around a
30-year-old Gujarati ‘ben’ settled in Georgia, who cares a hoot about her still
stigma-carrying status of a ‘divorcee’, apri Praful Patel is aaha, brazenly
bindaas. Everything she does – from clocking in at work as a hotel’s
housekeeper, acquiring a cool apartment from the ‘minority’ quota, and arguing
with her NRI daddyji from the old-fashioned school down to informing her suitor
(Sohum) that she likes to steal.
Now, let’s see if Kangana's fans and her much
appreciated performance help the film to garner a better collection
over the weekend.
