Fir Against SRK!
Here's the latest update from the world of Bollywood. We bet you wouldn't want to miss this. Read on for details... Shah Rukh Khan is being taken to court for cursing!
The Child Commission has ordered an FIR to be registered against superstar Shahrukh Khan on the grounds of using filthy language before children that caused them mental suffering. Advocate Abha Singh and her team have been making consistent efforts to make sure this happens for a long time now. If you remember, SRK hurled abuses at a police officer who allegedly manhandled his daughter Suhana and her friend on the field after an IPL match between his team, Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on May 16, 2012. Shah Rukh was told not just to leave the stadium that evening, but was banned from the venue for five years. The ban was temporarily lifted last year during IPL 7 final match between KKR and Kings XI Punjab.
The order has taken so long because the policemen who should have implemented the law apparently violated it themselves. At the time of the fracas they failed to register a FIR (First Information Report) with the local police station. The incident infringed the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Child, therefore a complaint was lodged with the Maharashtra State Commission for Protection of Child Rights by social activist Amit Maru based on various provisions of the law.
Advocate Aditya Pratap extensively argued the matter before the Hon’ble Commissioner. On March 18, 2015, AN Tripathi, the Secretary of the Maharashtra State Commission of Child Rights passed the order to not only register an FIR, but also conduct an enquiry into the matter.
