Filmfare Awards is turning out to be quite a stunner with a bevy of celebrities making their presence felt at the event. After Anil Kapoor, Kalki Koechlin, Jacqueline Fernandez and Bhumin Pednekar, Salman Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, Manoj Bajpayee, Shilpa Shetty, Sunny Leone, Swara Bhaskar, Kajal Agarwal, Diljit Dosanjh, Sooraj Pancholi, Esha Gupta, Evelyn Sharma, Urvashi Rautela, Divya Khosla Kumar, Saiyami Kher, Sonali Bendre, Elli Avram, Angad Bedi and Shamita Shetty made their way to the red carpet.
















Sonam turned up in a striking white Ellie Saab gown. The actress looked absolutely radiant and her outfit is a complete winner. Shilpa too looked gorgeous in a thigh-high slit golden gown. She seems to be getting hotter by the day.




The hosts of the evening are Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar and Kapil Sharma. Of course, the foot-tapping & glamorous performances are a very integral part of any award function. So, the performers of the night are- Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha, Tiger Shroff, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sushant Singh to name a few.


While Salman has chosen Baby Ko Bass Pasand Hai from Sultan as his song of the evening, Sonakshi will groove on Katrina Kaif’s Kala Chashma. Jacqueline and Sushant will entertain everyone with their version of Aditya-Shraddha’s Humma Humma from OK Jaanu! Their performance is choreographed by Geeta Kapur. Varun Dhawan will give a power-packed performance on Jee Karda from Badlapur. 

Filmfare, which is one of the most awaited awards gala of the year, revealed the nominations a few days ago. While Aamir Khan (Dangal), Amitabh Bachchan (Pink), Ranbir Kapoor (Ae Dil Hai Mushkil), Salman Khan (Sultan), Shah Rukh Khan (Fan), Shahid Kapoor (Udta Punjab), Sushant Singh Rajput (MS Dhoni: The Untold Story) have been nominated for the Best Actor In A Leading Role (Male), Bollywood divas Aishwarya Rai Bachchan (Sarbjit), Alia Bhatt (Dear Zindagi), Alia Bhatt (Udta Punjab), Anushka Sharma (Ae Dil Hai Mushkil), Sonam Kapoor (Neerja), Vidya Balan (Kahaani 2) will compete for the title of  Best Actor In A Leading Role (Female).

To talk of the films that made a mark in 2016, Dangal, Kapoor & Sons, Neerja, Pink, Sultan, Udta Punjab are in the running for the Filmfare Best Film. Directors Abhishek Chaubey (Udta Punjab), Ali Abbas Zafar (Sultan), Karan Johar (Ae Dil Hai Mushkil), Nitesh Tiwari (Dangal), Ram Madhvani (Neerja), Shakun Batra (Kapoor & Sons) will battle it out for the Filmfare Best Director trophy.
