Amidst the ongoing farmer’s protest, Dharmendra shared his opinion. After son Sunny Deol was trending on Twitter for his comment about people taking advantage of the situation, Dharmendra urged everyone to listen to the protesting farmers.

Speaking with the Times of India, on the occasion of his Birthday, Dharmendra opened up on the unrest in the country due to the pandemic and farmer’s protest. The veteran actor spoke about how people have forgotten Coronavirus. Talking about the current situation in the country, Dharmendra said, “Log coronavirus ko bhi bhool gaye hai. Desh bhar mein afra-tafri phaili hai. Main janam din kaise manau? Hum sab Bharat maa ke bachhe hain. Humanity se bada koi dharm nahi. Kisiki sharafat, majburi ya insaniyat ka faayda na uthaye. Kisaan kya bolna chahte hain, unki baat ek baar sunlo. Woh sadkon pe baithein hain itni sardi mein. Ek mutual dialogue se hal nikal sakta hai.”

The actor also revealed why he deleted a tweet he made about the Farmers protest. Dharmendra clarified and said, “All I intended to say was please hear out the farmers. Main hamesha positive baat karta hoon lekin log uska alag hi matlab nikaalte hain. Twitter pe bhadaas nikaalte hain. I will now keep my distance from it, because it can be extremely toxic. Dil tod dete hai log.”
