The Farmers' Protest against the Farm Bill has got the entire nation talking. On social media, many are raising their voice in support of the farmers. Stars from Punjab like Diljit Dosanjh, Ammy Virk, Gippy Grewal, Prince Narula and many others tweeted in support of the farmers. Diljit even stepped out of his home in a pandemic and became a part of the protest today at Singhu border. Now, we have also learnt that the singer and actor has donated Rs 1 crore to buy winter wear essentials for the protestors.
The information was revealed by Punjabi singer Singaa on his Insta stories. He shared that Diljit made the donation and did not boast about it on social media. Singaa extended his thank you to Dosanjh by writing, "Big Thanks, @diljitdosajh." Since the beginning of the Farmers' Protest, Diljit has been supporting the farmers and tweeting saying that their demands should be met.
The Good Newwz actor even got into a war of words with Kangana Ranaut as she misidentified an old lady protestor.

Today, at the protest, Diljit while addressing the protestors, urged the government to accept the demands of the farmers. He was quoted saying, "We have only one request to Centre..please fulfil the demands of our farmers. Everyone is sitting here peacefully & entire country is with farmers." He even lauded the farmers and said, "Hats off to all of you, farmers have created a new history. This history would be narrated to future generations. Farmers' issues shouldn't be diverted by anyone."
