Farah Khan Makes SHOCKING Revelations About Bollywood Stars Demanding Four Vanity Vans; Filmmakers Recalls, ‘Heroines Would Change Behind Trees, Now They Don’t Budge’
Filmmaker Farah Khan has given the Hindi film industry some of its biggest hits. The mind behind classic movies like Main Hoon Na, Tees Maar Khan, Happy New Year, and Om Shanti Om, among many others, she enjoys a huge fan base on social media. Having made a mark in the industry, she never shies away from expressing the truth about the industry. Recently in a vlog, she opened up about how some Bollywood stars these days don’t start working until their demands of 4 vanity vans are fulfilled. The revelations have left the netizens in shock.

In her recently released vlog on YouTube, Farah addressed the increasing demands of Bollywood actors and how they refuse to work if those demands are unfulfilled. Talking about it with television actors and couple Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim, she expressed how some even go as far as to ask for four vanity vans, for themselves as well as their team, each before they start working for the day. Quoted by the Indian Express, the 59-year-old filmmaker-choreographer said, “Until the vans don’t come, they don’t act. Nowadays, each actor has about four vans for themselves. One person. One is for their gym,, one is for their staff, one is for them, one is… then the food truck comes, that’s separate.” ALSO READ: Farah Khan Credits Nagarjuna For Increasing Her Fees During The Initial Stage Of Her Choreography Career

The Om Shanti Om director went on to recall how earlier actresses would change behind trees, especially during outdoor shoots like in Switzerland. The team would use bedsheets to cover them. Khan added, “Now the actors don’t budge unless their vans come.”
Well, it is safe to say that the netizens were left in shock after listening to Farah’s revelations. One wrote, “And then we wonder how every xyz film costs 100+ crores 💀 More money is spent on stars and their team rather than spending on a making decent film…” Another wrote, “I can understand having such demands if you are bringing audience or variety in craft to the table. I wouldn't judge. Gym is understable. We cant negate fitness and mental health. Many find peace there. Nothing wrong. Staff van is understable. I mean, that's great, isn't it? But if some emerging actor or newly risen star is demanding such things for stupid stuff, then that's utterly shameful and laughable for the certain someone. They must be publicly mocked and ridiculed.”

The discussions around the topic started after a big-budget movie like Bade Miya Chote Miyan tanked at the box office. Despite having been made on a budget of Rs 350 crore, the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial failed to impress the audience with their mediocre scripting and shooting of the action sequences.
