Fake Social Media Followers Scam: Badshah DENIES Allegations Levelled Against Him, 'Was Never Involved In Such Practices'
Some days ago, the news of popular rapper Badshah being allegedly involved in the fake social media followers scam had hit the internet. This came after the likes of Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra were accused of buying fake social media followers for boasting their pages. Yesterday, the She Move It Like rapper was also summoned by the Mumbai Police due to this very reason. Badshah, however, has denied being a part of any such scam in his official statement, soon after the interrogation. The rapper has rubbished all the allegations levelled against him and said that was never involved in such practices and nor does he condones them.

"Following the summons, I have spoken to the Mumbai Police. I have aided the officials in their investigation by cooperating and carrying out the due diligence on my part. I have categorically denied all the allegations levelled against me and made it clear that I was never involved in such practices, nor do I condone them. The investigation procedure is being executed in accordance with the law and I have complete faith in the authorities, who are handling this matter. I would like to thank all those who have conveyed their concern to me. It means a lot to me," read the statement by Badshah.

We hope the official statement issued by the rapper himself clears the air.

Reportedly, Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone, too, are likely to be summoned by the Mumbai Police in this matter. A special team of investigation (SIT) has been formed for the same. Mumbai Joint Commissioner of Police Vinay Kumar Chaubey had earlier said, "We have investigated and found as many as 54 firms involved in this racket. SIT comprising the Crime Branch along with Cyber Cell has been formed which will help in investigating this case."
