Asin in her new post dismissed the reports around her divorce from Rahul Sharma and claimed that it is 'very imaginative and utterly baseless news'
Asin who is popularly known for playing the role of Kalpana Shetty in Ghajini, has reacted to the reports of her marriage with husband Rahul Sharma ending with divorce. The popular actress took to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday and rubbished all the rumours around her broken marriage. Asin also professed that currently she is enjoying her summer holidays with Rahul. Dismissing the reports, she claimed that it is 'very imaginative and utterly baseless news'.
"In the middle of our summer holiday right now, literally sitting across each other enjoying our breakfast and came across some very imaginative and utterly baseless 'NEWS'. Reminds of the time we were sitting at home together with our families planning our wedding and we heard that we had broken up (laughing emoji) Seriously?! Pls do better. (Disappointed to have wasted 5mins of an otherwise wonderful holiday on this!) Have a great day you guys," read Asin’s Instagram Story.
Meanwhile, a Hindustan Times report quoted a source issuing clarification around the divorce rumours and asserted “Asin cleared up old photos from her feed at the start of the new year (Jan/Feb). After that, she has posted Rahul’s photos in her stories on Easter and other occasions. Whoever wrote this story conveniently forgot to notice/mention these I suppose. Don’t think anyone thought someone is going to spin such far-fetched tales at their own convenience later for sensationalism over something so silly.”
The rumours around Asin and her hubby’s divorce sparked after the actress reportedly deleted all her pictures with Rahul except one from her Instagram account. She has also removed her wedding photos from her social media profile. Currently, her last post, dated October 22, is from her daughter Arin's fifth birthday party.
“They are one of the happiest couples we know. Rahul is a doting husband and father and absolutely adores Asin. They are the sort of genuine down-to-earth couple one rarely sees and they love to keep away from drama and attention. They are very low profile and keep away from social media exactly for this reason. It’s ridiculous to see this written about a couple like them. In fact, they are on a holiday together with their daughter and are having a good laugh about it,” the source quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
Rahul Sharma is the co-founder of Micromax and Asin quit her acting after her marriage to Rahul in 2016. Rahul and Asin welcomed their daughter Arin in 2017.
