Esha Deol: Don't Blacken My Mother Hema Malini
SpotboyE EXCLUSIVE! The actress-cum-politician's elder daughter stands up against the world
Hema Malini met with a car accident on the Jaipur Highway on Thursday, and since then, has been branded as insensitive, selfish and aloof for not caring about the Khandelwals in the other vehicle, particularly the little girl Sonam who passed away. A few minutes ago, Hema's daughter Esha spoke exclusively to SpotboyE.com. Here are the excerpts from the conversation:
How is your mom feeling now?
She is recovering but still shaken up.
Its' being said that she should have helped the child in the other vehicle, who later passed away...
She didn't even know that a kid had been fatally injured in the accident. She knew it all only when I told her about it the next morning. And she started crying (pauses).
Go on...
Please see the pictures after the accident. Doesn't anybody see the injuries on her face? Doesn't anybody see that she is bleeding? For a few moments, she didn't even realise what had happened, She had banged her head and face with such an impact that she was feeling terribly dizzy. My mother is not a young girl. For Pete's sake, she is 66 years old. Luckily, a doctor was passing by and took her to a hospital.
It all began when Mr Khandelwal said that the doctor who helped your mother didn't help his kid...
The doctor in question didn't even recognise her. He just happened to see an injured lady and came forward to help. It was only when he was very near her that he understood who she is. I fully understand what Khandelwals have lost, I fully understand their trauma. But please don't blacken my mom. Please put yourself in her shoes and tell me what you would have done if you had been hit with such impact and a man rushed towards you to put you in his car and take you to a hospital? Is this all happening because my mother is the Dream Girl? Is this all happening because she is Hema Malini? Is this all happening because she is a politician? Whatever is being said against her with reference to the accident is downright ridiculous.
Are you guys going to help the accident victims?
Obviously. My mother is not an insensitive woman. We will go with open arms. If they accept our help, well and good. What happened was extremely unfortunate. That's it. I don't want to say anything more.
