Esha Deol and Bharat Takhtani have decided to part ways 11 years after getting married, the actress confirmed the same by releasing a statement
Veteran actors Dharmendra and Hema Malini’s daughter Esha Deol made a name for herself in the Hindi entertainment industry with her versatile performances and fashion statements. She tied the knot with her childhood sweetheart businessman Bharat Takhtani and gave birth to their beautiful daughters Radhya and Miraya. Over the past few months, it was heavily speculated that the couple is no longer together as he did not attend his mother-in-law’s birthday bash. Well, now Esha has confirmed the rumours by issuing an official statement.
In a statement issued to the Delhi Times, the 42-year-old actress confirmed that she is separating from her husband after 11 blissful years of marriage. She expressed that the decision was mutual and requested privacy as they prioritise their kids during the testing time. Quoted by Bollywood Life, her statement read, “We have mutually and amicably decided to part ways. Having tied the knot in a lowkey wedding at Iskon Temple in 2012, Esha had once recalled her love story with Bharat Thakhtani. She revealed that they had met during an inter-school competition. Slowly after knowing each other for about a year, love blossomed between them. The actress confirming their separation has left her fans heartbroken and they hope that this does not take a toll on their daughters. For the unversed, Esha Deol is Dharmendra’s daughter from his second marriage with Hema Malini. She also has a younger sister Ahana Deol Vohra. Before getting hitched to his Sholay co-star, the veteran actor was married to Prakash Kaur. He has 4 kids from his first marriage - Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, Vijeeta Deol, and Ajeeta Deol.
