PM Narendra Modi has opened the doors for film shoots and subsequently for film tourism, in Jammu And Kashmir, wide open. In a significant address to the nation, last evening, the PM spoke about the government’s decision to scrap Article 370, that gave a special status to the erstwhile state of Jammu And Kashmir. Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s historic announcement in the Rajya Sabha that Article 370 was being nullified in Jammu and Kashmir, was the main topic of PM’s address to the nation yesterday.
What stood out for us from PM Modi’s address was his invitation to filmmakers around the world to come and film in The Valley. The Prime Minister said that the entire world would now come to The Valley to shoot movies. Known for its picturesque views and Swiss-like natural beauty, Kashmir could attract a host of filmmakers, who had laid off the valley owing to unrest and turbulence.

I am confident that in future, even international films will be shot there. The entire world will come to Jammu and Kashmir to shoot their films," said PM Modi.
The PM went on to urge Bollywood, Telugu and Tamil film industries to come to Jammu and Kashmir and shoot their films there.
